Team Coach - Ignite Hoops
As a player, Kyle enjoyed a successful career at both the high school and college level (Prospect; UW-Oshkosh). In his 3 year career at Oshkosh, Kyle was a part of 3 highly competitive groups in the WIAC, including a 2017-2018 team that went all the way to the national championship. Notoriously nicknamed ‘the Jalen Brunson of the MSL’, Kyle’s game embodied veteran court awareness to a tee and possessed a plethora of unselfish offensive & defensive tendencies that bettered everyone around him.
As a coach, Kyle has worked with Ignite’s 17U teams, as well as middle school aged teams with both Ignite & Prospect feeder. He leads with a Tony Bennett-like presence, and his calm demeanor on the sideline provides feelings of confidence to his players. His ATO sets will compete with anyone in the AAU competitive landscape.
Kyle enjoys most about coaching the ability to positively impact an individuals sense of confidence & self-esteem. You can see this in the way he communicates with his players, and trusts them on the court.
Outside of coaching basketball, Kyle works as a surgical support specialist. In addition to his work commitments, he is a multi-mens league athlete, leading off for a 16-inch softball team that went 2-14 in the Arlington Heights B league last summer. He also plays on the Ignite staff team in the Arlington Heights men’s league, where he is currently on thin ice with the front office after missing a game for a 1975 concert, of all things.
